Lockdown Through the Lens – Stepping Stones
Lockdown Through the Lens is an online participatory photography project funded by Corra Foundation (Comic Relief) working in collaboration with Stepping Stones to show how members were copying through lockdown.
The online photography showcases the ongoing impact of the lockdown and how the restrictions effected those already afflicted by mental health issues and social isolation.

Steven ‘Lockdown through the Lens has been a brilliant course, Charlie is great and ran the course very well. I enjoyed learning Photography Techniques and then doing a different photography task each week. Taking photos of objects close up and others guessing what they were was fun. Finding letters in objects to make the initials of Celebrities was also a great task. It was good having something to do on a Tuesday morning and taking photos was a great reason to get out into my garden and go to my local park. I enjoyed the chat and laughter we all had in the group. The exhibition Charlie put together from all our photographs was excellent. As I don’t do as much now due to Lockdown it was great to have this each week and we didn’t even have to leave our homes. I would definitely recommend this course to others’.
Brian ‘What an excellent course. All the learning points were clear, and the homework tasks were very interesting and challenging.
Charlie was a fantastic tutor and host. He kept us going with his warmth, enthusiasm and humour. I think that the quality of the final exhibition is a testament to his skills. Finally, the group itself was a pleasure to work alongside. Everyone contributed, both with their work and their friendly natures. I would thoroughly recommend the course’.
